𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁.
I have an important fact we want to share with you this week:
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁.
What do I mean by this? So often we look at ourselves and pull our bodies apart, whether that be in the mirror, in person, in our reflection, or in a photo. More often than not, when critiquing our appearance, we are subconsciously looking for the negatives to confirm what we believe to be true about our body.
If we're having a week where we feel self-conscious and as if we have gained weight, we'll automatically look at our stomach, thighs and arms and believe what we anticipated to be true. Again, if we are looking for that fatness and those changes, that is what we are going to be focused on and that is what we are going to see.
While this may sound sad, it's true! But as always, we love finding a positive in every negative situation. The truth behind this sentence gives us faith that we can flip this narrative around. We now know that this HAS to be effective. So let's change it:
𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩.
Rather than critiquing your appearance, we want you to put more attention into what you LOVE about your body, this doesn't have to be just related to physical appearance. For example, you might love your legs, or you might love that your legs carry you to your favourite places. You might love your lips, or you might love that your smile makes others smile.
Perhaps you love your clear skin, your wavy hair, your fantastic posture, your amazing stomach that birthed your children, your eyebrows that frame your face, your eyes that smile when you smile. There is SO much to love that has nothing to do with a 6 pack or peachy glutes.
𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚, 𝙄 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚! 💗
I hope this made your day a little brighter!
